Bangkok’s Jodd Fairs, which just opened on April 28, 2023, is currently the most popular night market among tourists.
Unlike other night markets, it focuses on the youthful INS style and creativity, which attracts young people to go there. The tents are all used Pure white is the main minimalist style, which looks particularly good when taking photos.

▌Thailand Bangkok Travel Guide-Things you need to know
Background Introduction
The original Ratchada Train Night Market management team planned it, and some of the previous Train Night market vendors also moved here. Even the popular fruit Beauty and the recently must-eat Tom Saap Sour & Spicy Pork Ribs are all in the Jode Night Market!
There are about 1,000 stalls. It used to be an abandoned amusement park. There is also a castle landscape inside. The overall planning is clean and tidy, giving people a young and energetic feeling.
Location and Transportation

Located in Lat Phrao District of Bangkok, there is Chatuchak Market nearby.
It is recommended to take the BTS blue line to Phra Ram 9 station and exit from Gate 3.
When arriving on the first floor, you will first see the Central Rama 9 shopping mall and find the back door of the shopping mall on the first floor ( the night market near Starbucks); you can also reach it from Exit 2.
English address: Rama IX Rd, Huai Khwang, Bangkok 10310 Thailand(Behind Central Rama 9 mall)
Thai address:ถนนพระราม 9 แขวงห้วยขวาง เขตห้วยขวาง (ติดห้างเซ็นทรัลพระราม 9)
Business hours:16:00~24:00 every day
What is there in Jodd Fairs?
Jodd Fairs is roughly divided into two parts, separated by the road. One area has more food and snacks, while the other side has more entertainment, clothing, cultural and youth gadgets, which are easy to shop and buy.
Jodd Night Market opened not long ago, and the epidemic has just been lifted.
It is full of people everywhere and you can often see familiar Asian faces. From time to time, there are Chinese accents around. It is really a wonderful travel experience. It gave Fang more familiarity.

▌Spicy Pork Ribs and hand-caught seafood
When you enter the night market, you will find many shops selling Spicy Pork Ribs. And the business of every store is super booming.
It seems that this is one of the famous products of The Night Market. If you want to eat together with a group of people, you can order the XXL, which costs 999 baht.

Because there were too many similar stores, we finally chose a volcano pork ribs store (?) that also sells hand-caught seafood. This store has a wide range of services. You can refer to the picture below for the menu!
The two of them ordered SET A, which was just enough to be eaten. As I was writing the article, I found that they didn’t even give us rice…

The store will put disposable tablecloths on top of each table, and provide gloves and paper towels. After each table is finished, it will be a mess, like a battlefield.
The portion of hand-picked seafood is worth the price, and the shrimps are very big and plump. Very fresh, the sauce tastes sweet, spicy, and salty, similar to Korean taste but a little different, it tastes delicious.

Delicious food appeared! Two large pieces of real pork ribs made me drool again. They were stewed very soft and delicious, and the meat could be torn off with a light bite.
The soup was surprisingly delicious. I thought the highlight was the ribs, but I think the soup was even better, more Thai-style and spicy enough.
In the end, we finished the bowl of soup in silence. In fact, the price of 650 baht for two people is really satisfying. I feel like I can’t eat anything else.

▌Food
I must eat pork skewers when I come to Thailand. I don’t know why every night market can have the same taste. I remember that in 2018, a skewer in Chiang Mai was only 10 baht, but now it is 15 baht.

There are also vendors selling juice in the night market. Each one contains real fruit pulp. I recommend everyone to try it. And also vendors selling wine to choose from.

Raw pickled seafood is also one of the snacks that are often found in Thailand. Although I really want to try it, Fang and I are really BAD at stomach. We are afraid that if we don’t get used to it, we will have to break up tomorrow’s trip.
The pickled seafood looks very delicious. If I have a chance next time, I want to try it.

This banana Roti vendor is also doing very well. After all, I haven’t had a bad banana Roti in Thailand.

The average price of a cup of juice smoothie and Thai milk tea is 50 baht. You must drink one cup every day to enjoy it. It costs 70~80 BAHT in Taiwan now. My wallet feels like crying.

Hong Kong egg waffles have also appeared, priced at 49 baht each and 15 to 20 baht more for toppings. They basically come in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and charcoal, and sauces can be added for free.

At first, I didn’t know what was being sold below, but later the boss said it was Luk Chup (ลูกชุบ), a kind of Thai wagashi, which is their traditional dessert snack.
It used to be a food unique to the nobles and royal families. It can be understood as a Colorful mung bean cake, but a bit sweet, you can try it if you have the chance.

Over the past few days, seeing marijuana has become like seeing bubble milk tea in Taiwan. I feel very accustomed to it, but I believe some people still don’t know that it is so rampant.
These stores usually also sell tobacco (cigarettes) made from marijuana.

▌Shopping
Woven slippers are commonly sold in night markets, just like the items that appear repeatedly on various tourist streets in various countries. Unfortunately, my feet are too big to buy them.

I feel like Hawaiian shirts have become a symbol of Southeast Asia. The fabric costs 250 baht and feels decent. I bought one and found it too small when I got home.(⁰⊖⁰)

This is a small shop that I like very much. The items they sell are very unique, ranging from pendants, badges, earrings, etc. They are very creative, and there are also bags for keys, etc.

The recently popular decorative buckles on the top of Crocs are also on sale, and three of them only cost 100 baht.

I really have to put this up!! The pet accessories (scream~) are super cute! It’s Foodpanda. It’s really worth buying. There are also some collars, small backpacks, and toys waiting for you to buy.

Jodd Fairs Summary
The feeling after visiting is really different from other ordinary night markets. Jodd Night Market is slightly better in terms of atmosphere creation, circulation planning, and cleanliness.
Moreover, the shops selling in the night market also have some cultural and creative products, which directly touched my heart.
Unlike the same common street vendors, it is not only easy to take pictures, shop, and eat, but the location is also very convenient in the city center. I think I will give it to 4.8/5.
Are you wondering why it’s not a perfect score?
Because I couldn’t buy a suitable souvenir (ಠ益ಠ). The souvenirs mostly sold dried mangoes and the like. I just wanted to buy something small, but the souvenirs were all in large portions~(It’s a personal factor)
Photo Spot: Many people want to take a bird’s-eye view of the Jode Night Market, so they can do so above Central Rama 9. At that time, Fang and I accidentally entered the scene while looking for a motorcycle parking lot, and unexpectedly discovered that this was a good angle.
