1. Chinatown
Bangkok Chinatown is located in the west of Bangkok city. It has a history of about 200 years. It is also one of the most prosperous business districts in the city. Bustling tourists and crowded traffic are daily life here, which also shows the Chinese people in Thailand’s Traces of Life.
You can find many gold jewelry shops, food stalls Chinese supermarkets, etc., filling the whole street.
The shops are almost all owned by Chinese; the signboards and street scenes make people feel like they are back in the nostalgic Hong Kong atmosphere. There are even super old business names in Traditional Chinese!
The products sold here are all-encompassing, but most of them are very famous specialties in China, ranging from Kweichow Moutai, Beijing Tongrentang pills, stinky tofu, shark fin soup, etc.
If you are not used to Thai local snacks, maybe you will like the Chinese food here.
In addition, this is also the filming location of the famous Chinese movie “Detective Chinatown”!
➤How to get there: Navigate to Chinatown on Google Maps, or take the BTS Blue Line to Lak Song Station and walk for 5 minutes.
➤Navigation location: PGR5+4W6, Yaowarat Rd, Khwaeng Samphanthawong, Khet Samphanthawong, Bangkok 10100
2. Wat Paknam Big Buddha
The filming location had to pass through residential alleys, and there were locals and children looking at us with curious expressions.
Due to the recent rumors of human trafficking in Myanmar using Thailand as a relay station, we couldn’t help but tense up! BUT It’s just that we thought too much~
The local children seemed to know that this was a favorite shooting spot for many people, and they enthusiastically led us the way.
You will see many colorful alleys along the way. After passing through these houses, you will reach the river and find the Big Buddha coming into view. The temple in front of the Big Buddha was instantly robbed of its limelight and became super small.
There is a pier nearby where you can take boats.
➤How to get there: Take BTS Silom LIine to Talat Phlu station and walk for about 20 minutes.
➤Navigation location:838 Thanon Thoet Thai, Talat Phlu, Thon Buri, Bangkok 10600
3. Maeklong Railway Market
The magical railway market in Bangkok, Thailand, is also one of the famous wonders of the world.
When the train enters the station, the arrival bell will ring five minutes before the train enters the station, and the market vendors will put away their goods calmly.
Watching the train pass by and then return to the status quo silently is shocking enough in just a few minutes. You will involuntarily hold your breath because you are only a few centimeters away from the train.
The busiest time for sightseeing in the market is in the morning, and many day tour groups depart at that time.
Different from the urban tourist market, this market is more oriented towards local people, allowing you to experience Thai culture in depth.
➤How to get there: Take the BTS from the city to Bang Wa Station, transfer to a bus or taxi to Maeklong, and then transfer to a train to get there directly. 2. Sign up for a local day tour or charter bus (one-day tour)
➤Navigation location:ตลาดแม่กลอง แม่กลอง Mueang Samut Songkhram District, Samut Songkhram 75000

4. Wat Arun in the alley
The main inspiration comes from the night scenes shot by Thai photographer Donamtyk with a telephoto lens, looking at the Wat Arun pagoda across the river through the narrow Soi Tha Suphan.
The shooting location was at the intersection of Soi Tha Suphan and Maha Rat Road, with Wat Pho behind it.
The name is related to history. This temple was originally built to commemorate the national hero Zheng Zhao. The main color of Wat Arun Temple in the morning is white, which makes it look particularly unique.
Although the temple is not big, it is beautiful for photos.
The alleys around the entrance provide dressing services in traditional Thai costumes, which cost about 100 to 200 baht a time.
At night, you can find a photography spot in the alley on the other side of the river, which is completely different from the elegance during the day.
➤How to get there: Take the BTS Sukhumvit Line to Ratchathewi Station, then transfer to bus 60 NGV: Siam Park – Pak Klong Talad to Saranrom Park Station and walk for 8 minutes.
➤Navigation location:Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, 10200
5. Big Buddha on the bridge
After navigating to the Bangkok Yai District Office, you can see a bridge. You can find this angle on the bridge. The Buddha, river, and boats form a balanced photo. It would be more beautiful if the weather was better~
➤How to get there: Take the BTS Blue Line to Tha Phra Station and walk for about 13 minutes.
➤Navigation location:1 Ratchadaphisek Rd, Wat Tha Phra, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok 10600
6. At the feet of the Buddha
This location is relatively hidden and difficult to find. It is directly at the foot of the Big Buddha.
It is also very spectacular up close. There is a frame just in the middle of the roof, which can fit the head of the Big Buddha into the composition. It feels like humans are being looked down upon by gods like ants. , guarding this sacred land.
There is also Talat Phlu Market nearby, which is also a railway market with local characteristics. You can also go there if you have time.
➤How to get there: Take the BTS Blue Line to Bang Phai Station and walk for about 13 minutes.
➤Navigation location:300 Ratchamongkhon Prasat Alley, Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok 10160
7. Big Buddha in front of the alley
This is a path with very humanistic characteristics. At the end of the distance is the Big Buddha overlooking all living beings.
This alley will become narrower and narrower as you walk. It is especially beautiful at sunset. It is surrounded by lush green plants.
Walking in the alley feels like you are in another world. It feels like living here. Some houses are not easy to enter. Residents around them will know that everyone is here to take photos, and some will help guide the way.
➤How to get there: Take the BTS Blue Line to Tha Phra Station and walk for about 12 minutes.
➤Navigation location:60 Phet Kasem 15 Alley, Lane 9, Wat Tha Phra, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok 10160
8. Sunset Buddha on the sky bridge
It is recommended to take telephoto shots at this spot. Find a clear evening on the footbridge in front of the Khattiyasueksa School on Lat Ya Rd. The blue moment is the most beautiful every day. You can walk there after visiting IconSiam.
That day, Fang did not bring his usual tripod, but another one that was lighter and easier to carry abroad, which caused him to have a huge breakdown!
Because the footbridge is far away from the Big Buddha, a small shake when shooting with a telephoto will affect the details of the entire photo, so we missed the blues time.
After that, we found a closer bridge at 7-Eleven (With eXta Plus), and finally got the photo above.
Travel is about gaining deep memories from such accidents.
➤How to get there: Take the BTS Silom Line to Krung Thon Buri Station and walk for about 18 minutes.
➤Navigation location(closer):7-Eleven (With eXta Plus)
9. Night view of Wat Arun across the river
It is similar to the location of Wat Arun in the fourth picture. After walking a few more alleys and turning to the end, you can come to the riverside and see this scene.
Some people may go to a nearby cafe to find the best angle for photography, but there are actually good locations if you look carefully. You can also see locals sitting here at the nearby pier to watch the night view!
➤How to get there: Take the BTS Blue Line to Sanam Chai Station and walk for about 7 minutes.
➤Navigation location:Riva Arun Pier-PFVR+MM6 ซอยเพ็ญพัฒน์1 Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200
Mention in passing
The first time I took Fang abroad with me, We brought an oversized camera back. It weighed at least 10 kilograms.
The journey to the hotel was quite hard. I admire those landscape photographers who can carry such equipment up the mountains and into the sea just to take a good photo.
Wanting to be a photographer really requires good physical fitness (admiration). There must be some dissatisfaction in the process, such as bad weather, not being able to find a suitable location, etc., which results in having to re-find the shooting location or visit another day.
But everything seems to be no problem in the face of Fang’s love, although as a companion, I feel helpless sometimes ~
