As a native of Taoyuan, Taiwan, it took a long time before the opening to check out the new check-in attractions. I was so moved that we finally had a place to see the animals! It’s a kind of “zoo”, right?
Because Taoyuan itself is quite boring, or it may be because I have lived here for decades, I decided to go to the Xpark Aquarium which has been open for a while.
The overall visit time of the aquarium can be grasped for 1 to 2 hours.
There is also a GLORIA OUTLET next to it, allowing you to enjoy the pleasure of spending money.
We went by motorcycle, there are parking spaces for motorcycles nearby.
Although there are not many parking spaces for locomotives on holidays… it doesn’t matter, Qingpu is a big place, the planning next to it is pretty good, and there are locomotive/car parking lots nearby.

Where is the entrance
XPARK Aquarium is located on the second floor of Shin Kong Cinemas, next to the bridge connecting GLORIA OUTLET.
You can see the very prominent aquarium logo.
Before entering the intersection during the day, stand at the fence and look down from the top to the jungle area where you can have a panoramic view of the outside, Contains a small portion of marine life.
In addition, there is also a paradise area on the other end, with sheep and the like. Unfortunately, it was late when I went, and the animals were all taken in to rest.
You can buy tickets on the spot, or you can buy directly on Klook and then scan the QR code on your mobile phone to enter the venue.
Visit XPARK
As soon as you enter the door, you can see an aquarium. Although there is not much fish in it, it is shocking enough.
There is a mobile electronic advertisement next to it, you can scan the QR code to download the APP: LINNE LENS.
After taking a picture of a fish, its species and distribution area can be displayed immediately. If you want to learn more about the creatures in the museum, it is recommended to download it!! It’s much more interesting than looking at flowers on horseback haha
Then go down, and if you look carefully, you will find that the water in this tank is very turbid, and there is also a lot of marine waste, human-made garbage, etc., which is the real situation in the sea at present. Even if there is beach cleaning every year, it is not as good as making garbage speed.
These are worth our deep thinking.
The best place to take pictures is probably this aquarium wall. The photos can’t capture the shocking feeling of the scene, and the people in front seem very small.
In addition, pay special attention: do not use the flash to take pictures!
A while ago, it was reported that a tourist from a certain country turned on a flash to take pictures in front of the aquarium, causing the fish to crash into the glass and die on the spot because the glass is invisible to them.
Next to the aquarium wall is a small exhibition area with the theme of “Microplastic Globe, the future ocean transformed into a crystal ball”
On the wall are paintings that were drawn 50 years later using AI technology combined with famous paintings. In the middle are five plastic particle crystal balls, which are made of real plastic recycled from the ocean, simulating the plight of marine life.
In the tropical rainforest area, there are many small biological boxes, including brightly colored and poisonous tropical frogs, turtles, carnivorous South American lizards, etc.
We were impressed that we accidentally bumped into the turtles mating. They should be quite shy in the eyes of everyone.
There are two lovely seals in the cold zone operation area. I found that one is very lively and active, and the other is too lazy.
The waterfall tunnel will pass in the middle, with a pile of kelp on the left.
Here is the drawing interaction area, you can choose a desired creature on the tablet and choose its color . After uploading, it can appear on the interactive wall~
But mine didn’t show up after waiting for a long time, Fang ran to redraw it, and ran out immediately!! Does my fish think my color scheme is too ugly?
Occasionally there will be some garbage, and many children will help to remove it by patting the wall, which can let children understand the importance of protecting the ocean.
A bunch of people lines up to take pictures in the jellyfish area. If you don’t plan to take insta-worthy photo, you don’t need to line up in that line.
My favorite is the jellyfish petri dish in this area. Different types of jellyfish have different sizes in different cycles. Some are so miniature that they can’t be seen, just a small point.
Somewhat miraculously, look closely and you’ll see many jellyfish with their tentacles tangled together and knotted.
Another instagrammable places, remember to pick unknotted jellyfish.
When I walked to the penguin area, I obviously felt that the temperature had become colder. Everyone gathered around to see the penguins, so I gave up on being in the crowd.
There are passages on both sides, and penguins can use the passages to swim
There is also a flyover for penguins to walk on, and I accidentally saw penguin poo on that.
After walking out, there is a restaurant. It’s a pity that I didn’t eat it when I came too late. There is a channel for seals to swim next to the dining area. If you are lucky, you can see it.
