Off-topic: Ever since I returned to Taiwan in early March, I have been too lazy to write the Osaka article, and it has been dragging on until Oct! (Crash)(ಠ益ಠ) If I don’t write, I have to say goodbye to my memory.
Okay, let’s get to the point! This time we went for a total of five days and four nights. The itinerary we arranged was very positive and suitable for novices like us who are visiting Osaka for the first time.
Even the most ordinary attractions are still full of surprises! After we went there, we only had one thought: Japan is such a great place. Suddenly we can understand why so many Taiwanese people travel to Japan! It also feels different from Okinawa.

Five-day itinerary
Our itinerary was not as follows at the beginning, but was super full~~~
But by the 4.5th day, my legs were no longer working, and I slept until almost noon every day. Some people would say it was so wasted! I stayed up late while traveling abroad, but I feel that we lose the fun of it when we travel step by step according to the itinerary.
Traveling is about gaining spiritual cleansing while exploring the unknown. Although we abandoned some places during this trip, we also left them behind. This foreshadowing gives us motivation to go there next time.

How much did it cost in total
Warm reminder: The following are all in USD
▌Air tickets and visa fees
Japan is at the top of the list of Taiwanese people going abroad. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is the first. The round-trip ticket to Osaka is about $300 on low-cost airlines, and about $460 on general airlines (EVA, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines).
Taiwanese like to go to Japan mainly because of the visa-free convenience. However, this time I also spent $52 to apply for a Japanese tourist visa for my Husband.

▌Airbnb cost
This time I didn’t choose a hotel, but tried Airbnb (that’s right! It’s my first time staying in this kind of place). I thought it would be messy, but I found a treasure! The link to the B&B where I stayed is below.
I’m afraid I won’t be able to book it if I go there later, haha.
First of all, this hotel has so many advantages. I went there in the off-season and it cost $90 a night. To exaggerate, there are almost no disadvantages!
The key point is that although the price is about the same as a hotel, the space is very spacious. It is more than enough for you to carry two large suitcases. The location is also great.
The whole process is automated, there is a tablet on the first floor for you to check in by yourself, which feels very novel.

- Japanese love cleanliness. It feels like their own home. The owner thoughtfully provides power banks and charging cables.
- The air conditioner has both heat and cool functions, so you don’t have to worry about the cold in winter.
- Comes with kitchen, tableware, dishwashing detergent, washing machine, and laundry detergent, almost everything you need in life.
- There is a bathtub for taking a bath! I even bought a bath bomb to play with at home.
- The faucet on the sink is retractable and can be used to wash a man’s hair in the morning.
- There is a LUUP rental station(shared bike) downstairs of the B&B, which is very convenient if you are too lazy to walk.
- It is a five-minute walk from the subway station (Sakuragawa Station) and only one stop away from the bustling Namba Station.

P.s I would be happy if Airbnb would sponsor me (smile)
▌Food cost
The food expenses for our entire trip are summarized in detail below. You can use them as a reference based on your consumption habits.
For ordinary people’s normal food expenses, I think a person can make around $30 to $50 a day, which is more comfortable because Fang and I both slept until noon so I didn’t have breakfast (an alternative way to save money?)
You have to eat yakiniku once in Japan! The price will probably be $30-$100 per person, and a meal in an ordinary store will cost about $6-$16 when eating out.

▌Attraction tickets and pre-departure fees
Below are the items that Winter purchased in Taiwan before departure (except for accommodation). It can be seen that the big loss this time is at Universal Studios. Two people will spend more than $300 at Universal, not including meals ( ☉д⊙), but I highly recommend buying an Express pass when you go there for the first time.
Because you are not familiar with the place, and you have to fight for the lottery or queue up early when you go, which is quite tiring; For example, if I go there next time, I don’t think there is any need to buy a express pass, because not every included item will wanna be played.

▌Transportation costs in Osaka city
Speaking of transportation, we have to mention our good partner on this trip: LUUP, a shared electric skateboard & bicycle used by many people in Japan. It is very easy to ride and not tiring at all! You can also experience riding in the small streets of Japan.
I like the feeling of slow travel. I can immerse myself in the life of the locals for a short time. In some scenic spots, it is inconvenient to just walk a short distance to the subway and then change lines. At this time, we will choose LUUP for short-distance transportation, which can save a lot of time~

In addition, it is recommended to spend a day or two in downtown Osaka. If you purchase the Osaka One-Day Pass, you can use unlimited transportation. About 40 famous attractions are free or discounted!! super cost-effective

▌Shopping expenses
In terms of shopping, everyone’s situation is different. I don’t spend too much when I go abroad. It should be said that there are very few things I want to buy, especially Boutique. I have no interest at all.
BUT! Before I went there, I heard people say that Japan is very easy to buy (OS: Is it such an exaggeration?) I was wrong, it is really easy to buy. I don’t know why they can make the products super cute and add big discount words, and now With the sweet exchange rate, the price of everything is almost half that of Taiwan.

▌Total amount (excluding air tickets and shopping)
We exchanged a total of 20,000 yen during this five-day and four-night trip. The exchange rate happened to be favorable at that time.

Conclusion
The following is my unprofessional advice after my trip to Osaka. Everyone’s consumption habits will be a little different. If you don’t bring enough Yuan, it is also very convenient to swipe credit cards in Japan.
- The average hotel price per person per night is $30~$160, which may vary a bit during off-peak and peak seasons. ▷ Find Hotel
- In terms of food, you can probably spend $50 per person per day, which is enough.
- For entertainment, if you want to go to Universal Studios, prepare at least $160 per person, including tickets, dining, and shopping in the park. ; Tickets for other attractions can be arranged on the same day using the Osaka pass, and transportation for the entire day is also included.
