Taste of New York in Osaka: Shake Shack Burgers and Epic Cheese Fries at Shinsaibashi!

You must not miss the delicious food here when shopping in Shinsaibashi, Osaka! Many famous restaurants are located here, especially Shake Shack, which is said to have the best burgers in New York, USA. (Is it that exaggerated?)

I have to mention that Fang is particularly fond of burgers. You can call him the Burger King. Plus, there is no Shake Shack in Taiwan yet, so of course have to check in. ｡:.ﾟヽ(*´∀`)ﾉﾟ.:｡

Introduction to Shake Shack Burger

This small food truck originated in the United States in 2001. At first, it only sold hot dogs. Later, as the business got better and better, it expanded to include burgers, French fries, milkshakes, etc.

You can adjust your burger according to your preferences, and there are also mushroom burgers specially designed for vegetarians

Shake Shack’s signatures are super juicy burgers (including chicken and beef) and calorie-packed but delicious.

Location & Information

The Shake Shack I ate in Osaka is located in Shinsaibashi, close to the PARCO shopping mall, on the first floor of the Daimaru Department Store. The appearance looks very American, with a big sign and simple decoration.

Many people were queuing up inside, and it seemed it was certified by American locals.

Shake Shack Menu

The menu prices on the Japanese official website are a bit different from what I saw in Osaka, but the difference is only a few dozen yen. I’m not sure if it’s a regional difference.

You can refer to it before going~ Otherwise, you will be like me, hesitating in front of the store for a long time. It is tough to know what it is just by looking at the name haha!

Environment

After entering the gate, just follow the crowd. Next to the counter, there is a menu that you can take your time reading. I paid with Apple Pay, which is very convenient.

After ordering your meal, you can find a seat first and wait for your number to be called to pick up your meal.

There is a self-service sauce area and tableware next to the food pick-up window. You can dip the fries in ketchup as you like, it is a perfect match.

The overall environment is bright and clean, and toilets are also provided! It should be noted that you have to collect it yourself after finishing the meal.

The meals we ordered and the Total Amount

Fang and I each ordered a burger, a milkshake, and cheese fries. At first glance, the portion may seem small, but in fact, we felt quite full after eating it.

We highly recommend the cheese fries. To be honest, I even think French fries are their signature dish…

The one below is the signature Shack Burger, and the one above near the drinks is the Smoke Burger. The crust of their burger has a texture that I’ve never had before.

Shake Shack’s burgers have softer dough and more solid meat! Paired with plenty of cheese, I won’t feel greasy after eating it

French fries are a must ~ I’m serious! A must! Especially for those who like cheese and those who are not losing weight.

I don’t know if it’s due to the depreciation of the Japanese yen. Look at what a good price this is.

Summary

The burger is delicious to me, but it’s not overly delicious. Part of the reason may be because I heard it is called “the strongest burger in New York”, so my expectations were too high.

It is recommended to try it when you go to Osaka, Japan. The taste is very special~

Overall, it is an affordable choice. I can give it 80 points for the price alone, and I am willing to continue to patronize it for the cheese fries.

Oh yes, the milkshakes are great too.
